Die konstante mediale Konfrontation mit immer tieferen Einsichten in die Struktur des menschlichen KÖRPERs und damit verbundene Möglichkeiten von Manipulation sowie das Bild des menschlichen Körpers als „Netzteil“ für gesellschaftliche, politische, philosophische und künstlerische Inhalte sind nur zwei Aspekte des großen Panoramas für das Programm der WERKSTADT GRAZ 2015. Waren es 2014 LANDSCHAFTEN, die den Blick in die Weite richteten, um das Nahe zu begreifen, ist es nun der Blick auf innere Perspektiven, die uns größere Zusammenhänge näher bringen.
The constant confrontation in the media with increasingly in-depth insights into the structure of the human body, associated possibilities of its manipulation, and the image of the human body as a medium of societal, political, philosophical and artistic agendas are just two aspects of the large-scale panorama for the programme of WERKSTADT GRAZ. While in 2014 it was LANDSCAPES that drew our attention to far-away realms so as to comprehend what lies near, it is now a view of inner perspectives that allows us to understand better the bigger picture.
